Mac Mail Email Set-Up

Below are the settings for adding your CommuniKate e-mail account to Mac Mail.

Click Mail, then Add Account. If this is the first time you've opened Mail, you will be automatically prompted to add an account.
Click Other Mail Account....
Click Continue.
Enter your Full Name, e-mail address, and password.
Click Sign In.

Next to User Name, enter your full email address.

Next to Account Type, select IMAP.
Next to Incoming Mail Server, enter mail.securekate.com
Next to Outgoing Mail Server, enter mail.securekate.com
Click Sign in. Click Done.

If you cannot send mail, please check the following settings:
Click Mail, Preferences, then Accounts.
Click Server Settings.
Highlight your e-mail address in the left list.  

Under Incoming Mail Server (IMAP)
Username should show your full email address.
Enter your email password.
Host Name: mail.securekate.com
Automatically manage connection settings should be unchecked.
Port 993 for IMAP or 995 for POP3
Use SSL/TLS should be checked.
Authentication should be set to Password.

Under Outgoing Server (SMTP)
Username should show your full email address.
Enter your email password
Host Name: mail.securekate.com
Automatically manage connection settings should be unchecked.
Port 587
Use SSL/TLS should be checked.
Authentication should be set to Password.

Click Save.

iPhone Email Set Up Instructions

Configure iPhone/iPad for CommuniKate mail.

You can use the exact same mail server settings for your DBIS address too!

1. Tap Settings


2. Tap Mail


3. Tap Accounts


4. Tap Add Account


5. Tap Other


6. Tap Add Mail Account


7. Fill in your account information. Address is your full e-mail address.


Tap Next at the top right, which will bring you to a screen where you need to enter additional information. You need to scroll it up and down to fill in all fields.

Make sure that type of account is selected as IMAP In the sections Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server Host Name, enter mail.securekate.com For both incoming and outgoing mail servers use your full e-mail address for User Name. Also make sure you’ve entered the password for outgoing mail server - it’s the same as for incoming.




8. Tap Next to verify your account information. Be patient, this verification does take time!


9. Tap Save


If you cannot send mail, please check the following settings:

Press Settings, then Mail.
Press Accounts.
Press your e-mail address.
Press Account.

Under Outgoing Mail Server
Press SMTP
Under Primary Server, press the server name
Next to Host Name enter mail.securekate.com
User Name is your full e-mail address, Password is your e-mail password
Change Use SSL to On
Authentication should be set to Password
Change Server Port to 465
Press Done
Press Account

Under Incoming Mail Server
Change Host Name to mail.securekate.com
User Name is your full e-mail address, Password is your e-mail password

Press Advanced
Under Incoming Settings, change Use SSL to On

Authentication should be set to Password
Press Account
Press Done
